Waiving a fee

Because of future upgrading work that needs to be done at the Union Church building in the Village of Lake Orion, permits will be needed.
Village council members agreed to waive any fees that the village usually charges for this type of a project.
According to LO Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel, she anticipates only one permit will be needed from the village — a demolition permit. This permit costs $25.
Permits will probably be needed for electrical and heating system work, but that is under the jurisdiction of the state of Michigan.
