Waldon Cadet Band’s ninth performance of the year was a “great one,” according to band director Mike Edwards. The band recently performed at the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s District Four Band Festival which took place at Lake Orion High School.
Lake Orion band directors and the band booster organization hosted one of the district level sites scheduled around the state.
“The Waldon Cadet Band represented themselves and their school with excellent marks for their performance, along with a very focused mature demeanor at the high school,” Edwards said.
The 61 member ensemble continued a tradition of receiving a First Division rating and straight ones from all four judges.
Their performances for the rest of the school year will be a combined concert with Clarkston Middle School at the Clarkston Performing Arts Center on April 15.
May 14 will see them back at the LO Performing Arts Center with the combined Pine Tree, Webber and Carpenter Elementary bands. Their final performance of the year will be the Waldon Spring Band Concert with all of the Waldon bands at LOHS on June 5.
