On May 7, a Brandon deputy on patrol on westbound Oakhill Road near Perry Lake Road stopped a vehicle with defective equipment. The driver had his registration, but no driver’s license. He identified himself and Secretary of State records revealed the man’s license had been suspended since 1998. He has three current suspensions and has been convicted three times for driving while license suspended. The case is open pending review by the prosecutor’s office. During the same stop, the passenger in the vehicle was found to have a warrant out of Troy for driving while license suspended. He was turned over to the Troy Police Department.
