Clarkston Christian School’s Clarkston Campus is celebrating this spring. The school was awarded the top Five Star Award through Michigan-based Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
“It’s a really, really big deal,” Michelle Golus, director of early education at the school, told assembled students and guests, May 7. “A year and a half ago, all the teachers and I sat down and decided to try to be a five star school ? every single teacher here poured their heart into this.”
Guests congratulating the school for their professional and curriculum development effort included Bill Shuman, family life director at the school’s Auburn Hills campus, and Penny Shanks, executive director of Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce.
“This is fantastic,” Shanks said. “We’re very proud of you.”
The school is located at Clarkston Community Church, 6300 Clarkston Road.
