Not the real thing

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of check fraud at the Admiral Petro gas station on Lapeer Road on May 13.
According to an OCSD report, an 18-year-old clerk said a white male, with brown hair in his 50s, had come into the station and handed her a check made out to Admiral for $100, with ‘American Express Traveler’s? handwritten across the top.
The clerk said the man had an undressed stab wound on his left hand, and provided a traffic ticket for identification. The phone number on the check was disconnected, and the man was last seen leaving the station in a red Ford truck.
