Work is proceeding on the Orion Veterans Memorial thanks to local people’s generosity. They’ve been donating their time and money.
Goodwill Electric is working on the electrical for the lights. Wayne Fegertsky is working on boulder flower beds and miscellaneous walls.
Ajax Paving is donating the asphalt for the parking lot. Detroit Edison is contributing the electrical service.
Guinn Construction is working on pouring the foundations for the meditation seat and the foundations for memorial stones inside of the meditation seat.
Help is still needed with the landscaping, sprinkler system and fence. Memorial committee members are currently raising funds and taking donations. Call the Veterans Memorial office at 248-693-6366.
