Sharon Roohan has been contracted as the Orion Senior Center activities coordinator, a part-time position.
The board of trustees authorized the contracting, at the recommendation of senior center director Marylou Enneking on May 27. Effective with the hiring, the board also reduced temporarily expanded hours for the position to 20 hours per week.
Roohan will be paid $12 per hour, with no benefits. Under the supervision of the director, the activities coordinator provides and coordinates on-site and off-site activities, volunteers, equipment and maintains databases.
