The Lake Orion varsity girls soccer team capped off their district run with a final win over Rochester Adams in overtime on June 5.
The Dragons began district play after a bye against Waterford Kettering in the semi-final on June 3, winning 8-0.
Rachel Bemman and Hilary Conklin had two goals each for the team, while Jessica Boyle scored and contributed two assists.
Shelley Marick, Jillian Whiteside and Lindsey Luch each had five saves for Lake Orion.
The varsity team defeated Adams in the district final, 2-1, in overtime. Boyle scored the team’s winning goal in overtime, with 3:05 left to play.
Bemman also scored for Lake Orion, and Margaret Verespie had nine saves in the goal for the team.
Lake Orion’s record is 11-8-7 as they advance to regional competition.
