Block parties closing streets

The Orion Township Board of Trustees has approved the temporary closing of several subdivision streets for the purpose of holding summer block parties.
A portion of Ridgeview Circle (1395-1458, a cul-de-sac) will be closed on Aug. 28 (rain date Aug. 29) for a block party in the Paint Creek Ridge Subdivision. The road will close from 2-5 p.m.
Trailway Court and 908-920 Ridgeview Circle in Paint Creek Ridge #3 will also be closed on Aug. 28, between 3-8 p.m., for a block party.
Solar Court (a cul-de-sac) in Keatington Woods will be closed on Sept. 11 from 2-8 p.m. for a block party. In addition, Brentwood Drive (a cul-de-sac) in The Preserve Subdivision will close Sept. 5 from 4-10 p.m. for a block party.

Several temporary street closures will take place this summer for subdivision picnics and block parties.
May Center Court, the cul-de-sac at the northern end of May Center Road, in the Silverbell Oaks Subdivision, will be temporarily closed on June 26 from 4-7 p.m. for a subdivision picnic. Indianpipe Court, the cul-de-sac at the eastern end of Indianpipe Road, in Silverbell Oaks, will be closed Aug. 22 from 4-8 p.m. for a subdivision picnic.
Portions of Tall Oaks Road and Twin Oaks Court, the portions of the road and cul-de-sac located across the street from the pool in the Rolling Meadows Subdivision, will be closed July 17, from 12-6 p.m., for a subdivision Family Fun Day. A portion of Rolling Hills Road in Rolling Meadows will be closed June 26 from 5-10 p.m., for a subdivision block party/moving away party.
