Groveland Twp. – When the owner of a rusty truck put it up for sale, he didn’t expect it to come up missing.
The vehicle, a 1992 GMC TK pickup truck valued at approximately $3,800, was taken from a driveway in the 7000 block of Holly Road sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 25 and 8:10 a.m. Aug. 26.
There was no evidence of glass breakage seen on the driveway.
The truck is described as beige with a black tailgate and no trim, with rust on the driver’s side door. The valve stem of a spare tire in the truck bed has tape on it. Prior to its disappearance, the truck had 158,000 miles on the odometer.
According to police reports, the owner believes the truck was stolen for its 454 engine.
The truck’s Michigan license plate number is E6729E; the Vehicle Identification Number is listed as IGTGC34N5NE507922.
