A public hearing takes place on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on Orion Township’s 2005 application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
The township is eligible to receive about $82,738 for the 2005 program year. The CDBG committee met Sept.8, and proposed the following funding for 2005: Transportation, $26,369; Senior Services (newsletter), $6,000; Camp Program, $5,000; Senior Services (Home Chore), $1,000; Battered and Abused Spouses, $2,000; and Needy Residents, $1,000.
Also: P&R Master Plan, $16,547; Senior Center Facilities and Equipment, $4,000; Minor Home Repair Program, $10,411; and Emergency Rehab Program, $10,411.
