Barn Daze on Oct. 9

Enjoy the beautiful fall season with Orion Township Parks and Recreation’s Barn Daze at Friendship Park on Oct. 9, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Fun activities for the whole family include: petting farm, pony rides, hay wagon rides, horseshoe throwing, children’s games, family photos, antique tractors, live demonstrations, Civil War encampment, Chili Challenge, Skymasters Buddy Fly, storytelling, barn tours and live musical entertainment.
Register early for the Husband Calling Contest, The Cow Pie Eating Contests or the Pig Throwing Contest.
The Pig Throwing Contest is for contestants 12 or older. Prizes will be awarded. It starts at 1:30 p.m.
On site registration is a must. No registration fee is required. No pigs will be hurt during this competition. No professional pig throwers will be permitted to compete.
