Lake Orion hunter Lonnie Jenkins, Jr., 18, has the largest buck in Oakland County so far into the 2004 bow hunting season. Jenkins, who has been hunting since he was five years old, caught this 10-point buck on Oct. 1, opening day for bow hunting, at about 5 p.m. while hunting with his father in Oakland County. Jenkins estimated the deer’s weight at about 190 pounds, with 7 1/2 inch brow tines and 3-4 11 1/2 inch tines. Jenkins? deer will be featured on the ‘Big Buck Night? program on Michigan Great Outdoors at the end of the season in November.
