A downed Power wire left approximately 700 Clarkston residents in the vicinity of Main St. and Clarkston Rd. without power at 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 18.
According to Scott Simon of DTE, crews were deployed to rectify the problem within an hour of the outage.
The Independence Township Library was forced to close at 3:30 p.m. Clarkston Elementary was also effected by the blackout.
