Independence Township Parks and Recreation is making Halloween agreeable to all ages with their “Friendly Forest” event for children two to nine on Oct. 23 at Clintonwood Park.
Starting at 4:30 p.m., parents and their children will embark on tours of the nature trails which will be transformed by cartoon and fairytale characters bearing treats for all who pass their way. Children and parents are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and are required to purchase tickets in advance.
Tickets are on sale now for the event and can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation department up until Friday, Oct. 22 at 4 p.m.
The tours start every fifteen minutes up until 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for resident youth and $7 for non-resident youth.
