Boys cross country heads to state

The Lake Orion High School boys cross country team finished first in the Division I regional competition, held Oct. 30 at Clintonwood Park.
The Dragons finished with 77 points. Individual state qualifiers for the team were Billy Peterson, who finished in second place overall with a time of 16:16, and Drew Collette, who finished 11th with a time of 16:58.
Colin Motley also qualified for Lake Orion, finishing with a time of 17:00 in 13th place overall.
The Lake Orion girls team finished fifth in their regional, with 127 points. Clarkston took first place with 17.
The Dragons? Katie Reilly qualified for the state competition, scheduled for Nov. 6, finishing in ninth place overall with a time of 19:34.
