Rollover crash traps 2

County deputies had to kick in a rear windshield to rescue passengers covered in snow after their vehicle rolled over on northbound I-75 north of Sashabaw Road.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 24. Deputies found the car on its roof about 75 feet off the roadway with two passengers inside. One gasped for air after being uncovered, sheriff reports said.
Deputies then followed the driver’s footprints to a Clarkston Road address, where they found the 22-year-old Clarkston man hiding behind a truck.
Deputies turned the suspect over to the Michigan State Police, which has jurisdiction on I-75. The state police report was not complete as of Monday, but a spokesperson said the driver was suspected of operating while intoxicated.
Details on the occupants? injuries were also unavailable from state police on Monday.
