Clarkston residents who simply can not get enough of Easter festivities should make a bunny-line for Sashabaw Middle School as Independence Township Parks and Recreation is pleased to present Egg Mania on March 19.
This is the first year for ‘Egg Mania,? but Independence Parks and Recreation has been putting on an Easter egg hunt for the past 100 years.
New this year, aside from the name, is a flashlight egg hunt in the Sashabaw Middle School gymnasium. All children planning on participating in the egg hunt should bring a flashlight and a bucket with which to horde their bounty.
Other activities include the bunny hop, air brush tattoos, marshmallow bunny, bunny golf, bunny bowling, make your own bunny ears, the egg bag toss, meet the animals, pick a duck, moonwalk, pictures with the bunny, cupcake decorating, make your own bunny tail, egg coloring and egg dyeing.
Due to an early Easter and late snowfall, all events will be held indoors at SMS.
The fun starts at 11:15 a.m. for children ages 2-5 and 1:30 p.m. for children six and up.
Tickets are now on sale: $6 for resident child, $8 for non-resident child and adults are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
