Varsity baseball 2005

The Clarkston baseball team might have some growing pains this year, having lost 12 players to graduation since last season.
‘We are in a definite rebuilding mode,? said Clarkston Coach Phil Price.
Five of last year’s senior were three-year starters and helped the baseball team go 26-8 on the season, winning the OAA division I with an 11-3 record.
‘Our expectation every year is to win the league,? said Price.
This year Price will look to pitcher/first baseman JJ Lang, pitcher Mike Navarre, shortstop/pitcher Mike Kittle and outfielder Eric Bryan for leadership on the field.
‘Hopefully our overall athletecism will come through this year. We have a lot of guys who play a lot of different positions,? said Price.
Clarkston’s biggest challenge in the league will come from Lake Orion. Price also feels that Kimball and Farmington will be tough to beat.
