Oakview Middle School students participated in their third Math-a-thon, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, over the winter break in February.
Students were sponsored by family and friends, and collected pledges from them to complete math problems.
Donna Petruzzello’s sixth grade class raised $717.89, the most of any math class participating.
Sixth-grader Lindsey Quinn, a student in Sarah Roberts? sixth-grade class, raised the most individually, almost $500, and received a CD player for her efforts.
As a whole, Oakview raised $2,385.24 for St. Jude’s.
