Police were called to the Leonard Country Mill Tuesday, April 26 to investigate a larceny.
Sometime between 9 p.m. April 25 and 9 a.m. April 26, the orange and white lettered sign which read ‘Leonard Country Mill? was stolen.
The insert was the only thing missing while the rest of the sign remained intact.
One of the new owners of the mill, Steve Bivens, had been doing some reconstruction on the building and said he feels this incident occured because someone is mad at him for buying the mill. He’s not sure how much it will cost to replace.
Oakland County Sgt. Pete Burkett said there are no suspects, but any tips from the community would be helpful. ‘Someone had to get on a ladder with tools, so someone must have seen something.?
