Clarkston High School students Dani Angeli and Mary Swantek are organizing a local ‘Miracle Mile? walkathon to benefit St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
The walk is scheduled from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, beginning and ending in Depot Park.
The students are recruiting both participants and donors for the event, citing the many discoveries made at St. Jude’s to benefit children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Doctors around the world send their toughest cases and most vulnerable patients to St. Jude’s, and all patients accepted are treated without regard to the family’s ablity to pay.
