Another Clarkston athlete, senior Amanda Henderson, will ply her athletic talent on the collegiate level at Adrian College.
‘Since I was a little kid I have dreamed of playing soccer in college,? said Henderson
Henderson will have a quick turnaround from the CHS spring soccer this season to the Adrian team in the fall.
‘I contacted the (Adrian) coach as a sophomore and told him I was interested,? said Henderson.
After her initial contact, members of the Adrian staff came to see her play last year during Henderson’s junior season. Soon after her junior campaign, Adrian let her know they would like her to consider playing for them.
Henderson has secured a Presidential Academic scholarship to attend Adrian.
She is a three-year varsity player and plays defense for the Wolves this season.
At Adrian, Henderson plans on studying childhood education.
