Savage Photography is celebrating its first anniversary with an ‘Art, Fun & Food? open house at their studio in downtown Clarkston.
The studio attracted attention last weekend, and will do so again from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 14 at 3. E. Washington Street, just east of Main Street.
Highlights of the event include an exhibition of the studio’s finest work, and an introduction to ‘Bookworks,? the studio’s hardbound book series featuring a pictorial day in the life of a high school senior (available for upcoming seniors).
Visitors will also be introduced to ‘Your Life,? a customized music DVD featuring personal selections of music and images from a photographic session.
In addition, Savage Photography will offer a $50 gift certificate toward a photo package to all visitors and a complimentary ‘Buddy Photo? for two friends. There will be hourly drawings for a complimentary photo shoot, location session, wallet photos, 8×10 photos, makeover consultations, and more. In all, there will be more than $1,000 in prizes. There will also be special savings for booking a photo shoot at the open house, plus refreshments and entertainment.
‘Spring, summer and fall are busy times for senior photos, weddings and family get-togethers for holiday photos,? said David Savage, owner of the full-service photographic studio. ‘We want the community to have the opportunity to see our work, meet our photographers and above all to enjoy themselves.?
Savage Photography also offers corporate photographic services, such as event photography, and professional photos in black and white or color that are Internet and publication friendly.
Because of advanced technology, Savage Photography will offer a new service this year.
‘We can now help families celebrate the life of a loved one with a personal biography,? said Savage. ‘The stories of families and friends will be told to a professional writer, and the photographs artfully reproduced and arranged, all published in a bound, hard-cover book. We offer several options, and are very excited about this aspect of our business.?
Savage Photography is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and appointments may be scheduled at other times. Call 248-922-3200 for more information or visit www.Savagephotography.net
