A 19-year-old West Bloomfield man was arrested by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department for under 21 consumption of alcohol, after a 55-year-old Miller Road man found the teenager sleeping on his sofa on May 15.
According to an OCSD report, the Orion man and his wife woke up that morning to find a young man asleep on their couch. The 19-year-old man woke up, and was equally surprised to find himself in their home.
The Orion man said the 19-year-old was polite and remorseful for being in their house. He had even removed his shoes and left them just inside the door before passing out on their couch.
The Orion man did not wish to prosecute for unlawful entry. The 19-year-old said he had been at a party somewhere off Orion Road, and the last thing he remembered was leaving about 4 a.m.
He was cited for under 21 consumption of alcohol and released to his parents.
