Oxford High School senior Rob Cerato was presented the Tommi Fillion/Kiwanis Club Service Award Tuesday.
Named for the late Tommi Fillion, a charter member of the Oxford/Orion Kiwanis Club, the award consists of a $1,250 scholarship.
With a GPA of 4.0, Cerato will use the money to help further his education at the University of Michigan in the fall.
Throughout his high school career, Cerato has spent a great deal of time in various leadership and community service roles.
He’s currently the president of the National Honor Society and vice president of the Student Council. Cerato also played varsity hockey and soccer.
From volunteering at a nursing home in Lake Orion and in local blood drives to tutoring high school students and coaching a youth soccer team, Cerato has demonstrated his willingness to help others time and time again.
Congratulations to Rob Cerato.
