Atlas Twp. opts for second dust treatment
Atlas Twp. – Those near Atlas Township dirt roads may not be subjected to ‘dust bowl? conditions this year.
The first application of dust-deterrent is paid by the Genesee County Road Commission, and is usually applied in July.
Township board members approved paying $7,043 for the second treatment, consisting of mineral well brine, which should be applied around early September, said township supervisor Paul Amman at the May 16 township meeting.
