ORCO Investments Inc. will present their conceptual development plans for the southwest corner of Sashabaw and Waldon roads at an Independence Township Planning Commission public hearing on Oct. 6. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Clarkston High School auditorium.
ORCO Investments is proposing development of approximately 70 acres near the I-75 and Sashabaw Road intersection.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments on the overall development concept, proposed uses of the property and the review of the four criteria needed for approval of a site specific use authorization.
The development plans are submitted and available for review in the township building department. The plans call for approximately six acres of commercial development and around 60 acres of residential. The residential portion of the development is proposed to include single family housing, town homes and 12-plex units. This portion also has two different density proposals submitted.
