‘Wild Night Out? benefit auction

Save the wetlands! Save the wild things!
Save the date of Oct. 14 for ‘A Wild Night Out V,? an evening to benefit the North Oakland Headwaters Land Conservancy at Indian Springs Metropark Environmental Discovery Center located in Springfield Township.
The benefit features live and silent auctions, a buffet dinner, Martini Bar and cash bar. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $85 per person. A tour of the brand new Discovery Center is included, featuring the Living Pond. The public is welcome and should contact the office at 248-846-6547 for reservations.
The evening commemorates Tom and Loraine Hall’s legacy to the greater community by donating conservation easements to NOHLC to protect their property from future development. The easements protect 10 acres of one of the highest points in Oakland County.
To honor them for their commitment to responsible stewardship, insuring open space in perpetuity for the residents of Oakland County, NOHLC is awarding Tom and Loraine Hall the prestigious ‘Blue Heron Award? during a brief program.
Many unique objects and experiences are available for bid at the auction, including a week on the beaches of Belize; a dinner opportunity in an authentic thatched cottage; tickets to the Grand Am races in Watkins Glen including pit passes, meeting the drivers and autographed pictures; a personal ‘Three Hour Cruise? on Lake St. Clair; the opportunity to act in a horror movie; plus much, much more.
Tim Birtsas of RBI is the evening’s auctioneer. The public may refer to the NOHLC Web site at www.nohlc.org for a complete list of auction items.
