Oxford Women’s Club presents fall fashions

ADDISON OAKS ? It was a festive evening filled with fun, fashions and fund-raising as the Oxford Women’s Club hosted its annual Fashion Show Oct.12
Fourteen gorgeous local ladies commanded the stage, modeling the latest outfits from Kim Rose Fashions, of Grand Blanc, and Coldwater Creek.
From stylish and hip casual attire to elegant evening wear to funky faux fur and leopard prints, there was a little something for everyone in this year’s glitzy Tour de Fashion.
Representing a variety of shapes, sizes, ages and clothing tastes, all the models were the picture of poise and grace as they strutted and turned on the catwalk like professionals from Milan or Paris.
An estimated 235 ladies attended the wildly popular social event, netting an impressive $4,200 for the Women’s Club Scholarship Fund.
Every year, the scholarship fund benefits deserving high school seniors from the Oxford area who wish to further their education at either a college or vocational school.
In May, the Women’s Club awarded $5,000 in scholarship money to five graduating Oxford High School seniors.
Founded in November 1932 as an educational society, the Oxford Women’s Club shifted its focus to charity work and investing in the community in the 1950s.
Guided by the motto ‘Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm,? Women’s Club trys to give away every penny it earns to students and those in need locally.
The club meets the first Wednesday of the month from September through June at various members? homes.
