Saturday was a big day for Oxford-Orion FISH as the local charity moved into its new home in the Village of Thomas.
After 32 years of housing its considerable food pantry in the basement of Immanuel United Church of Christ at the corner of Hovey and Dennison streets, FISH is now based out of Thomas Hall at 487 First Street.
Volunteers moved thousands of canned goods and non-perishable food items along with plenty of refrigerated and frozen foods and beverages into the 2,300-square-foot hall, which Thomas United Methodist Church deeded to the group for the generous sum of $1.
Good luck and continued success to FISH in its new home.
