The Orion Area Parade Group sincerely thanks The Lake Orion Review for its generous participation and support of the Orion Area Holiday Lighted Parade on Dec. 3.
The Review reported all of our plans, events and the parade in spectacular fashion for the whole community right on time.
OAPG thanks Elaine and her staff for great coverage and great photographs! Also for including our donation envelopes when we needed it the most.
Thank you for joining us as well at the Holly Jolly Folly event on Dec. 2.
The parade was a huge success again this year with 65 entries — marching bands, spectacular lighted floats and lots of special characters and entertainers.
Our honored guests who served in Iraq, Master Sergeant Joe Peelish of the US Air Force and US Army Specialist Robbie King, 513 Transportation Company, were accompanied by the 338 US Army Band and reported in The Review.
Also highlighting the parade were decorated fire trucks from Orion, Oxford and Oakland Township with Oakland County Sheriff vehicles.
And the crowds were larger than ever all the way up Broadway.
Orion Senior Center hosting Santa was packed with people as was the Union Church for the first time in many years.
Thanks so much for all the promotion to make these events so successful.
We hoped you enjoyed the parade and look forward to next year’s as well. Happy Holidays.
Chuck Saputo & Joe Geraci,
Parade Co-Chairmen
