The deadline is approaching for anyone who wishes to apply for the open four-year term seat on the Clarkston School Board for the May 2 election.
Candidates who wish to seek office at the election must file an Affidavit of Identity and a nominating petition with Oakland County by 4 p.m. on Feb. 7. A $100 nonrefundable fee may be filed in lieu of the nominating petition. Withdrawal deadline is 4 p.m. on Feb 10.
Secretary Sheila Hughes’ term is set to expire in May, and she is not expected to seek reelection.
