Though not as large as year’s past, the high quality of work made this year’s Oakland County Quilt Guild’s annual show in Lake Orion a huge success.
Amy Schuster, Quilt Celebration 2006 Chairperson, said having a smaller show was done intentionally in order to fit all of the quilts into one area. A total of 161 quilts were displayed Lake Orion First Baptist Church on April 21-22.
It was the seventh year of the celebration, and included 17 different vendor booths, great food options from the ‘Patchwork Cafe,? and a raffle for a hand-made quilt created by OCQG members.
‘It’s a lot of work, but it’s great to see all of the wonderful quilts,? Schuster said.
