Police arrested a 22-year-old Grand Blanc man for cocaine possession and operating his motor vehicle under the influence of drugs after he crashed his car into a mailbox and flower bed on Stickney Road.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies from the Independence substation responded to the scene around 3 p.m. and found the man in the driver’s seat of a 1989 Chevy pickup. During the investigation, police discovered a baggie of cocaine and approximately 26 pills in an unlabeled pill bottle. As stated in reports, the man admitted to smoking marijuana, using cocaine and taking Vicodin earlier in the day.
The Independence Township Fire Department transported the man to Genesys Health Park for unspecified injuries and drug use. He was later transported to Oakland County Jail.
According to reports, the man was traveling east on Stickney when he ran off the road and over the flower bed and mailbox where he came to a stop.
