The Lake Orion Lions Club thanks all who contributed to their annual White Cane Week fundraiser, an effort to raise funds to support programs for those with visual and hearing impairments.
A friendly competition was held between area businesses who solicited donations on behalf of the Lions, with Opa’s narrowly beating out Christi’s and Hamlin Pub for the top honors.
‘Each establishment did an excellent job, and the Lions would like to specifically thank each and every owner, manager, bartender and wait staff member for their efforts and support,? said White Cane chairperson Dave Tucker. ‘Together we can make a difference in the community and world in which we live.?
