Craig Memorial triatholon once again a success

In just his third triatholon Clarkston, graduate Matt Inch finished in third place in the Craig Greenfield Memorial Triatholon held in Depot Park.
Inch said his uncle motivated him to run in his first triatholon last year.
‘My uncle did a triatholon last year so I thought I would do one to try and beat him,? Inch said. ‘I found out I was actually pretty good at them.?
Inch said he hoped to have a good finish, but didn’t expect to take third place.
‘I was hoping to finish in the top 10 and I did a lot better than that so I was pleased,? Inch said.
Inch will attend Michigan State in the fall and said he plans on joining a triatholon club.
Sixteen-year-old Greg Dedow of Clarkston also finished in the top 10 at the Greenfield Memorial.
He said his goal was to beat his dad and he was really pleased with his finish.
‘It feels good to reach something you always wanted to do,? Dedow. ‘It feels real good inside now. It was a lot of fun.?
Event organizer Corey Greenfield said overall the compeition had another successful year.
‘I think it was great this year,? Greenfield said. ‘It was a beautiful day. We had 320 people registered. We had great volunteers and great raffle prizes. I really appreciate all the help we got from the community. We are looking forward to doing it again next year.?
