Mentors Plus will be offering training in the coming months, and volunteers need only give a few hours of their time each month to be a positive role model for someone 5-16 years old in their community.
Training/orientation sessions will be held on Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, and Dec. 9, at 9 a.m. Another session will be held on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
All sessions are held at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac.
