Once again, Mark Slown has the title of manager.
The former Oxford Village manager, who served from 1999-2004, was recently appointed city manager for Rogers City in northern Michigan.
Slown will begin his duties Sept. 25 and be paid an annual salary of $65,000, according to the Presque Isle County Advance. Slown and his wife, Kathleen, spent the weekend house-hunting in the area.
Rogers City is located on Lake Huron. The 4.6-square-mile city has a population of 3,322.
The world’s largest open pit limestone quarry, the Port of Calcite, is located within the city limits and is one of the largest shipping ports on the Great Lakes.
