Businesses can get tax credits

If you own a business or reside in Lake Orion’s new Historic District, you may want to attend a Thurs., Nov. 16 seminar, to learn about available tax benefits for historic property restorations.
At 7 p.m. at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church, Bryan Lijewski of the State Historic Preservation Service will be the guest speaker.
Lijewski, the organization’s Architectural Coordinator, will be the guest of Orion Village, DDA and Historical Society that evening.
He will discuss the tax benefits of renovating historical properties and the procedures that must be followed.
The seminar is free to Lake Orion residents and business owners.
