Forecast is bright at Scripps

Students at Scripps Middle School were thrilled to have a celebrity visit them recently.
Meteorologist Andrew Humphrey from WDIV Channel 4 in Detroit spoke to the eighth graders at Scripps on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
During his presentations, Humphrey explained how and why he became a meteorologist and the path he took to be the weekend weather expert.
After his presentation, students asked questions about life at a TV station. They were intrigued by the use of a green screen during the weather forecasting and asked Humphrey about his views on global warming.
Meghan Preuss stated ‘I liked that Mr. Humphrey let us ask all different kinds of questions and that he answered them honestly.?
This was Andrew Humphrey’s third year visiting the students at Scripps Middle School.
