A pair of Lake Orion High School students are recipients of Congressional nominations to attend U.S. Military Academies.
U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers announced Dec. 7, that Mackenzie Hock and Joshua Bowers, both students at Lake Orion High School, have been nominated to attend military academies.
Rogers said the nominations were made based on the students? character, leadership potential and academic success.
‘These young men are a credit to their families, schools and communities, having set high goals for an education and a career of service to their nation,? said Rogers.
Mackenzie Hock is the son of Christopher and Lisa Hock of Oxford; and Joshua Bowers is the son of Gary and Sherri Bowers of Lake Orion.
Mackenzie was nominated for the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Joshua for the Air Force and Naval Academies.
