The Independence Township Board voted unanimously Dec. 5 to re-appoint Joan McCrary and Cheryl Karrick to the township Planning Commission for new terms through 2009. The board also appointed Thomas Andrews and Joseph Lawrence to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Lawrence is a new member of the ZBA. These terms also run though 2009.
