Jacobsen begins his term as county commissioner

Bradford Jacobsen, of Oxford, began his two-year term representing District #1 on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Thursday night.
The 49-year-old Republican was sworn-in along with the other 24 commissioners during an inaugural ceremony held in Pontiac. That same night Jacobsen was appointed to the county’s General Government, Personnel, and Planning and Building committees.
Elected in November 2006, Jacobsen was originally sworn-in Nov. 9 to complete the remainder of the late Bill Patterson’s term, which expired Dec. 31.
A 1975 Oxford High School graduate, Jacobsen served on the townhip board from 1984-2000. He’s the vice president of Jacobsen’s Flowers in Lake Orion.
