The Lake Orion girls bowling team lost their first Northern Lakes Conference match of the season, falling to undefeated Waterford Kettering 18-12 at Airway Lanes in Waterford on Sunday.
The Dragons claimed both Baker-format games to grab the early lead, but Kettering came back to win eight of the nine possible points in both regular games.
LO’s Kelsey Smedley topped Kettering’s Heather Kazimierczuk 212-201 in the first game, but the Kettering anchor responded with a 233 game, topping Smedley’s 208.
The boys got a measure of revenge for the girls, scoring a 19-11 victory over Kettering to improve to 2-3 in league action.
The league action was scheduled as a make-up for Jan. 13, which was postponed due to weather.
Both teams are back in action at Cherry Hill Lanes North in Clarkston this Sunday, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
