While ONTV may not be thanking the Academy for all their efforts in 2006, they were thanking their volunteer producers at the Sixth Annual ONTV Producer Appreciation Banquet held on Jan. 20.
Over twenty-five community members were recognized for the contributions in creating the programs that play on public access ONTV channel 10.
Special awards were also given to Warren Hanson and John Lines for their outstanding efforts in 2006.
Hanson was recognized as Producer of the Year 2006. He produces the long-running religious program, Praise Ministry. In 2006, he completed 38 programs, bringing his series total to 436 programs.
Lines was honored as Volunteer of the Year for all of his assistance in 2006. He ran camera on multiple programs, including Dragon Football, Concerts in the Park 2006, Dragon Girls? Basketball, Santa Live!, Wildwood Farm Day and Real Estate, Real Value. He also produced programming of his own, and provided help at multiple ONTV events.
