Retired Oxford Police Officer Homer G. ‘Jerry? Lotz, of Oxford, passed away suddenly February 7, 2007. He was 71.
Lotz started his career with the police department in 1973 as a reserve officer. He became a full-time officer in 1975 and served until his retirement in the late 1990s.
He was the beloved husband of Bernice for over 51 years. Beloved father of Ruth (John) Prugh of Cedarville, OH, Roy (Janice) Lotz of Attica, Roxane (Marc) Friedrich of Rochester Hills. Loving grandfather of Julie and Angela Prugh, Ryan (Sabrina) Lotz, Tami (Michael) Stickler, Justin Lotz, Kyle Weddle and Grant Friedrich. Loving great-grandfather of Ashley and Ryan Lotz Jr., Hannah, Grace, Olivia and Michael Stickler Jr. Survived by many loving friends and extended family.
A funeral from First Baptist Church of Oxford (150 Pontiac St.) on Monday, February12, at 11 a.m. Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel (39 W. Burdick) on Saturday, February 10, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, February 11, from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church appreciated.
