OAC offers spring classes

The Orion Art Center is now registering youth and adults for their Spring Art Classes.
Classes offered include:
*Drawing Perspectives on Tuesdays, from April 17 to May 8 from 7-9 p.m. This four-week class will focus on techniques of perspective, light to dark, end composition and use of still life and landscape for inspiration. Pencil and charcoal will be used.
*Loosen Up with Watercolors and More! on Wednesdays, from April 18 to May 30 from 6:30- 9 p.m. In this seven-week class, you will learn to express yourself through playful applications of paint, watercolor, acrylics, inks, pastels and even collage.
*Watercolor Workshops on Friday, April 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday, May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
*Portrait Drawing in Charcoal for Adults on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This three-hour class for beginner and intermediate artists will be taught by All-Media Show winner, Marnie Fender. (Also, see classes for kids on Saturday, May 19).
Classes are open to the public with discounted fees for members. Additional material fees may apply.
Upcoming special Saturday kids classes include:
*Pastel Drawing on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.
*Mother’s Day Project on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
*Portrait Drawing in Charcoal on Saturday, May 19. Kindergarten through third grade from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Fourth grade through eighth grade from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
*Father’s Day Project on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.
All kids classes are only $15. Additional material fees may apply. To insure adequate class materials and comfortably provide space for all students, you must pre-register for all classes and workshops.
