Correction – School budget hearing Monday

The June 20 edition of The Clarkston News should have reported that the public will have a chance to talk to the Clakston Board of Education on Monday about the school budget.
Public hearing and a school board vote on the 2007-2008 budget is set for June 25 meeting.
Revenue is set at $73.8 million, up from $73.0 million in 2006-2007. Expenditures are set at $77.3 million, down from $78.7 million last year, mostly due to budget cuts. This year’s deficit is set at $3.5 million, down from $5.7 million last year.
The school board’s goal was to reduce the deficit in half this year, with the rest eliminated next year.
The board meets at Clarkston Community Schools Administration Building, 6389 Clarkston Road, at 7 p.m. Call 248-623-5400 for more information.
