Senior Center seeks help with upcoming Classic Car Cruise

On Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Golling Pontic GMC will sponsor a first annual Classic Car Cruise to benefit the Orion Senior Center. The Cruise will be held at Golling Pontiac GMC, located at 1491 S. Lapper Road.
The event is free to all cruisers and to the general public, and will feature music, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and food. Classic cars will be judged in a wide range of categories by USMA cruisers and various trophy sponsors.
Rock ‘N? Ronnie will provide music for the event and Dick Purtan and Purtan’s People of 104.3 WOMC have donated one hour of air time.
There will be 50/50 raffles throughout the day and a silent auction run by Sports Authentic, Inc. from 9:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
Available food will be Culver Butterburgers, hot dogs, pop, water, chips and Carvel ice cream. More vendors may be announced in the near future.
In addition to the Orion Senior Center, the Orion Chamber of Commerce, the Orion and GMC Truck Plants and UAW locals 596 and 594 will be represented at the event. The Senior Center is continuing to seek local businesses to participate by being trophy sponsors.
